A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDERS

Welcome from Sue and Carly, Founders of Fraud Victims United //

Dear Friends,

Welcome to Fraud Victims United. As founders, we're deeply committed to providing a comprehensive platform for fraud victims to find the information, support, and resources they need. Fraud has become all too prevalent in our society, and victims often find themselves struggling to navigate the aftermath. That's why we founded Fraud Victims United—to be a place where individuals can turn to for guidance, support, and to unite together to campaign for change.

Fraud has a profound impact, not just on personal finances, but on a victim’s sense of security, trust, and well-being. It shatters lives, fractures dreams and futures, and leaves behind a trail of devastation in its wake.

Fraud Victims United aims to be a beacon of hope in the darkness, a place of guidance in times of need, and a voice for victims. Our aim is to ensure that every individual impacted by investment and pension fraud has access to the guidance, support, and resources they need to rebuild their lives, reclaim their voices, and emerge stronger and more resilient than ever before.

Through our platform, we aim to provide not just information and resources, but for victims to know that they are not alone, and that there is hope, even in the darkest of times.

In addition to providing support and resources, we are committed to campaigning for meaningful change. We believe that fraud victims do not deserve to be blamed and deserve a system that is victim-centric and supportive. We aim to change the culture that fraud is victimless and that victims are to blame. Through our advocacy efforts, we seek to challenge misconceptions, change attitudes and the system, and to create a future where fraud victims are not just survivors, but thrivers.

Through our fundraising efforts, we hope to build a community of likeminded people, committed to change and supporting each other, sharing new and exciting adventures together.

We know that the road ahead will be filled with challenges, setbacks, and obstacles. But we also know that united together with your support, your strength, and your unwavering belief in the power of resilience and community, we can overcome any challenge, scale any obstacle, and build a future where fraud victims are not just survivors, but thrivers.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. Together, as a united force we can make a difference.

With love and hope,

Sue and Carly

My Story - Sue Flood

Sue Flood's journey as a fraud victim began with what she believed was a pension scam, a devastating blow that sent shockwaves through her life. For 15 years, she battled the failures of the justice and regulatory system and fought for victim support fair treatment from HMRC. Along the way, she encountered countless victims facing similar struggles—financial losses, mental health challenges, and strained relationships, all while grappling with the indifference of regulators and what they believed to be unfair treatment from HMRC.

The systemic failures and victim blaming she experienced led to a breaking point, culminating in a nervous breakdown. However, amidst her frustration and disillusionment, she crossed paths with Carly, a lawyer who shared her passion for supporting victims of financial misconduct. Together, they have founded Fraud Victims United, driven by a common goal: to prioritise victim welfare and advocate for systemic change.

Their vision transcends individual cases; it's about amplifying the voices of victims and addressing the underlying impact. With their combined expertise in media and connections in high-profile circles, they aim to launch innovative prevention programs that leverage their networks for the greater good.

Fraud Victims United isn't just an organisation; it's a movement—a coalition of compassionate individuals committed to making a positive impact by supporting victims. Through unity and collaboration, Sue, Carly, and their allies seek to empower victims, drive change, and pave the way for a future where fraud victims are heard, supported, and protected.
